The effect: Per year 4,400 tons less climaticharmful carbon dioxide (CO2) develop than in the conventional currentmix. That corresponds for instance to the yearly current consumption of approximately 4,000 households.
Apart from the price the height of the actual CO2-Minderung was determining for the addition. The offer of the company „light view “exhibited the best price performance ratio with the supply of river from biomass. A price comparison with conventionally produced river shows: The costs of the pure supply of electricity without net use fees of Ökostrom lie only little more highly - in the case of this advertisement with scarcely 2.2 per cent. In the advertisement of 2003 the additional costs still layer with approximately ten per cent. „This shows that Ökostrom can be almost procured according to the strict criteria of the environmental department today without extra costs. Ökostrom is competitive “, said Professor Dr. Andreas troughs, president of the UBA.
