Thus exist also the danger, thus Wegener that valuable medicaments could not be produced in the future any longer. This meets above all the patients, who suffer from a rare illness and/or from an incompatibility for standard medicines, said the .bpi chairman.
Wegener: “Straight line in the small innovative steps puts the future potential of the medical progress. Who continues to tighten the thumb screws here, the medical research strangles, risks the pharmaceutical middle class and the future medical supply.” The .bpi chairman referred thereby in particular to the progress obtained by step innovations, e.g. in the cancer therapy. When further consequence of the planned health reform the employment figures in the pharmaceutical industry would decrease/go back, meant Wegener. The planned health reform goes “clearly toward a standardized national dispatching medicine”.

Over 280 enterprises with approximately 73,000 coworkers in .bpi united. In addition classical Pharma enterprises, Pharma Dienstleister, enterprise from the range of the biotechnology, the vegetable medicaments and the Homöopathie/Anthroposophie belong.
